Newsletter: Adjust Your Frequency

Hi everyone. How are you riding your waves? I have been moving through so many big feelings and adjusting daily to the new reality that keeps unfolding. Talking with my dad, I felt a wave of sadness because I miss him and it’s amplified by not knowing when I will see him again. I miss my friends and holding each other before and after yoga classes. I know in my heart this is all part of us evolving, and I also need to feel the grief of what I am leaving behind.

The Container of our reality has been cracked open and we are all being asked to adjust to a new frequency. The fabric of life has been stretched apart and so have we. This is hard for so many of us because it happened fast! We closed life down as we knew it and retreated into the isolation of our homes. So much at a standstill and yet so much changing and restructuring. In a world that operates in logic and reason, this can be a confusing time. The feelings that are erupting can overwhelm our systems like a tsunami flooding us with emotions. Coping skills that worked before may not be holding up. Holding safe space in an uncertain world is asking us to adapt new tools to process our feelings and adjust to a new frequency.

There may be days when we feel the flow and the power of transformation and other days where we are overwhelmed with what that really requires. Our mind can get it, and yet our feelings may time travel all over the place. I call this the tumbler, you know that spin cycle of confusion. Acknowledging that this is all OK so we can understand the overwhelm can pivot us back on track to ground our energy. Allowing loss, grief, sadness, and all the things we don’t always want to feel move through us, puts the Emotion into motion. Seeking support through yoga, coaching, meditation, dance, therapy, zoom calls, or whatever helps you find stability, can help reflect what you need to reset your energy.

Many of you are yogis, you understand the slightest shift in your physical body, can open your mind and pathway for something new to arise. If we push or force the practice, this process of creative download may elude us. The adjustments in the poses teach us the process of adjusting our energy daily. The full engagement of body, mind, and soul are necessary to drop into wisdom. Perhaps that is what we are being asked to do, break open new territory and wake up all parts of ourselves. Awakenings can be clunky and awkward, and yep even weird.

We are in a big adjustment time and the new reality is not clear. Doing daily check-ins with what we need creates a stable container for us to be heard and held. Worry and fear are part of change, that's OK. We can re-route and not abandon our tender and “weird” places. We are in re-creation. What do you want to build more of? For me it has been more self trust, and taking ownership of where I check out when I am scared. Owning our fears and projections and loving them, allows us to own our multifaceted brilliance. Wishing you love and support adjusting to your new frequency, may we reconfigure what we need to own our one wild and precious life!
