Let's investigate the old story and what is being revealed.

Don't edit as you go, just let it flow and see what comes out. It helps us bring buried thoughts and feelings up so we can feel and heal old wounded stories. Take your answer from Question Two in the self-inquiry:

Example: My own old story is “Self Doubt,” which can sabotage my efforts to share my gifts. This keeps me in a spin and depletes my energy.

Then begin to dig a little deeper using the following prompts...

Living in......[my old story]......story means..........., feels like..........., and this creates............

Example: Living in the “Self Doubt” story means that I sabotage my efforts to share my gifts, feels like I’m in a constant spin, and this creates a lack of energy to pursue my calling.

Be curious and now write:

I just learned……. And this makes me feel……...

IN THIS LESSON

  • We have heard that comparison is the thief of Joy, and it is! Let's be real, we all compare. We have been taught to do this in so many aspects of culture: school, religion, work, family systems, etc.

    Comparing ourselves with each other and within ourselves becomes problematic because we separate and divide. This binary way of seeing and listening makes some things good and other things bad. Judgment blocks learning. Leaning into understanding the energy of why we compare, opens us up to receive wisdom and courage lives here. Go beyond what we know and venture into new territory.

  • Notice when it happens. Usually has judgement and separates us from joy. Creates division and blocks connection.

  • This quality of listening and seeing allows space for our blocks and blinders to soften the judgement and be curious what is the deeper message. Opens a space for connecting to what we need to hear and see to hold ourselves with courage and feel connected to our inner knowing.
