IN THIS LESSON

How has a crisis impacted you?

And how is it impacting your perspective of the world? What is waking up inside of you?

For years I worked with Mona Miller – a gifted coach, therapist, and teacher – and I knew that one day I wanted to share the work that I learned with her. It changed my life profoundly. But for some reason, I never felt ready. In fact, I was about to go back to grad school when she told me to trust all the work I had already done, to trust that it was within me. I had studied, processed, practiced, broken down patterns, and stirred the calling I had heard long ago. Now I was ready to respond and carry it forward in the work that I do.

Shortly after that profound insight, she was killed in a car accident. The pain and grief woke up something deep inside of me and I knew for certain that the call to show up and share her work was NOW. All of the tools and skills I had cultivated were not meant to lay dormant in a blanket of insecurity, it was time to wake up to the call and step out with courage.

What is your wake-up call?

It can be calling you toward something or away from it. It's important to note that your call may or may not be your career, it may be a part of you that needs to remember why you are here. It could be a change in your job, a relationship, a creative pursuit, how you take care of your inner child or your children, a move to another country, going back to school or doing less. It is the thing that lights up your curiosity and inspiration so that you live in this world with what turns you on from the inside out.

A career gives you material and financial stability, and we all need that, but a calling is something that, if we choose to hear, grows us into the fullest expression of who we are. It can stir us deep in our core, asking us to do the inner work necessary to live in our authentic Self. It takes courage to go into unfamiliar territory, but it’s required if we want to make real change in our lives. And that’s what this course is designed to help you do.

So, let’s take a moment to celebrate that you have made the commitment to take this journey for your Self!
